Music Reflection 23rd May 2011
Today we did our assessment on playing our own composition. It was not very hard because I have already practiced, but I had some mistakes because I was not very careful.

Today Mr.John and Mr.Hary taught us. They explained about the finale music composition. We need to submit a soft copy and a hard copy of our composition.

Today we did our essay assessment on John Williams. I also reviewed before doing the assessment and checked my outline so that I can remember the important ideas for my essay. The assessment was not very hard.

Today Mr.John called some of us to play our composition made in finale. After that, we went to our instrument classes and practiced for the playing my own composition in the assessment.

Mr.John told us the students who have the highest scores and the worst scores for our assessment. He also told us how to get good scores for the blog assessment. He told us about the composition assessment using finale. We listened to some of John Williams most famous themes.

Music Reflection: 25th April 2011
We all tried to sing a song composition made by Mr.John and we also learned about John Williams and we learned about his awards, works and biography. Mr.Sadrakh was absent so we had instrument class with Ms.Marie. We played our compositions in the instrument class.

Today we learned about reading notes and got tips about how we can improve our compositions. Mr.Heri also told us bout the contents of a reflection in the blog.

To day we learned about chords and parts of a three-note chord: tonic, sub-dominant and dominant-seventh, we also learned that a chord can have more than 3 notes.

Today Mr.Hary and Mr.Heri showed us some examples of compositions from other students. Mr.Hary also showed us how to improve our compositions using transposing.

Today Mr.Hary and Mr.Heri told us how to install Finale. They also showed us a few examples of simple compositions. They also showed us 2 of our classmate's composition.

Today Mr.John was absent so we were taught by Mr.Sadrakh. Mr.Sadrakh taught us about the major scales and he also asked us to research about Bengawan Solo, it is a song.

We reviewed about the sharp major scales and Mr.John asked questions about the major scales to the students. After that, we went to our instrument classes. In the instrument class, we talked about the project week.

Today we got our music practical assessment score. I got 9 because the song was too easy and I only practiced one day before the assessment because I changed my song on the day right before it.

We did our practical assessment. It was quite easy because I played a song that was easy. I think that I will get a good score because it was easy.

Today we learned about flat major scales until 4 flats and we reviewed how to find flat major scales. In instrument class, we learned about the fingering for my favourite things for the practical assessment.

We started class late because Mr.John had to tell us the rules and how to behave correctly in music class. Today we reviewed about major scales and how to find them using tetra chords. Mr.Sadrakh gave some of us a quiz about major scales. Some of us didn't get asked but most of us did. we did not have instrument class.

Today we studied for the Classical musical periods essay and then we did the essay. The essay writing was quite hard because we needed to memorize a lot of things.
